Carolyn A. Becker, 82, of Seneca, died Saturday morning, July 12, 2025 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.
Carolyn was born on December 4, 1942, on a farm south of Coal Creek the daughter of Raymond Leo and Rosalia Mary Strathman Becker. In 1943, her family moved to a farm east of Seneca-south of Oneida; where they ran a dairy operation. Carolyn attended School at Sts. Peter and Paul in Seneca and graduated from the 8th grade. She remained on the family farm and particularly taking care of the calves and helped with the milking and regular farm choirs, until her parent's death. She left the farm with her sisters and they made their home in Seneca. Carolyn worked at the Big B in Seneca, where she enjoyed carrying groceries and stocking the shelves. She really enjoyed interacting with the customers while she was working.
Carolyn was a faithful member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Seneca. She made numerous rosaries for the missions and for the prisons.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Raymond on March 7, 1995, her mother, Rosalia on January 1, 1997 and her brother, Regis on July 1, 2016 and her sister Marilyn on April 29, 2020.
Carolyn is survived by her sister, Alice Becker of Seneca.
A rosary will be on Tuesday afternoon, at 2 P.M. at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 10 A.M. at the Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Seneca and will be celebrated by Fr. Reggie Saldanha.
Burial will be in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery next to her parents and her brother and sister. Memorials may be left in Carolyn's memory and will be donated to the Sts. Peter and Paul School and or the Sts. Peter and Paul Mission Center.
