Carolyn Paramore Clark, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away on April 18, 2025, in Quitman, Mississippi. Born on July 19, 1937, in Lawrence County, Carolyn lived a life full of love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community.
For the past fourteen years, Carolyn had called Quitman her home, but her roots in Mississippi run deep, with thirty years spent in Forest, where she was an active member of Ephesus Baptist Church. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her in all her endeavors. She was a devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church during her years in Quitman, surrounded by a community that loved and respected her deeply.
Carolyn devoted many years of her life to her work as a switchboard operator at Lackey Hospital in Forest. Her warm demeanor and compassionate nature left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. She brought light into the lives of many, always ready with a kind word or a smile.
Her true joy, however, came from spending time with her family. Carolyn was a proud mother to her daughter, Brenda Miles Nutt (John) of Quitman, who lovingly carries forth the values instilled in her by Carolyn. She was the doting grandmother of three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom were her pride and joy. Her home was often filled with laughter and warmth as she nurtured the bonds that made her family strong.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gwain Paramore, her parents, Denmon and Vera Sherman, two brothers, and three sisters, as well as her son-in-law, Robert Miles. Though she is deeply missed by her family and friends, their hearts are comforted by the memories of her unwavering love and the legacy of kindness she has left behind.
A visitation will be held on April 23, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 12:45 PM at Ephesus Baptist Church located at 3535 Ephesus Rd, Forest, MS, 39074, followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00 PM. Carolyn’s life was marked by a genuine spirit and an enduring love for those she held dear. Pallbearers honoring her memory will include Van Belding, Jeremy Miles, Justin Miles, Hunter Miles, Heath Warren, and Ben Stewart.
As we celebrate Carolyn's life, we remember her as a pillar of strength, a source of love, and an embodiment of grace. Her spirit will forever be woven into the fabric of her family and the community she cherished so deeply.
