Carolyn Sue Kindred, a lifelong resident of Morgan County, gained her angel wings at 10:50 AM on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025, at the age of 87. She passed away at her daughter's residence in Mooresville, Indiana, where she had been living and lovingly cared for the past six years. Sue, as she was known, was born on Friday, April 22nd, 1938, in Duggar, Indiana, to the late Jesse J. and Helen M. (Winegar) Corlett. She grew up in rural Morgan County and attended Eminence High School. On February 27th, 1960, Sue married the love of her life, Max S. Kindred. She and Max shared thirty-seven years of marriage and were blessed with eight children prior to his passing on May 31st, 1997. She devoted her life to her family and was an extraordinary wife, mother and grandmother. She and Max were also the owners of Kindred Apartments in Paragon, Indiana, for many years. Aside from her family, which was her pride and joy, Sue also loved to go to yard sales, flea markets, camping, and ginseng and mushroom hunting. She loved the Lord and was a member of the Martinsville Church of God. Her memory will be celebrated and cherished by her family and friends including her four daughters, Paula Kindred and Susan (husband, Tim) Barnett both of
Martinsville, IN; Vicky (husband, Mike) Arnold of Mooresville, IN, and Rhonda (husband, Kent) Collins of Poland, IN; two sons, Randy and Jesse Kindred both of Martinsville; twenty-nine grandchildren; sixty-nine great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Along with her parents and husband, Sue was preceded in death by two sons, Max Kindred Jr. and Kirk Kindred; and four brothers, Jimmy Corlett, William, Herbert, and Charles Ray Minton. Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, July 8th, 2025, from 12 Noon – 2:00 PM at Neal & Summers Funeral Home in Martinsville. Steven Begley will conduct a service celebrating Sue's life and legacy immediately following the visitation at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Her earthly remains will be laid to rest in Shultz Cemetery in
