Carolyn "Polly" Reno of Pensacola, FL, beloved mother, Mamaw, and friend, passed away on July 2, 2025, at the age of 91.
She was born on December 21, 1933, to John B. Butler and Mamie Worley Butler in Phenix City, Alabama.
Polly retired in 1995 from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles but had no intention of slowing down. She continued a life of service by working for many outreach organizations. She was an active member of the Warrington Elks Lodge and volunteered countless hours for Hospice, St. Anne Food Pantry, and St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store. She also enjoyed camping and traveling with the Rovin' Elks and having lunch with her fellow Red Hats. She used her endless talents to knit handmade blankets for her grandchildren, create ceramic gifts for friends, and bake delicious brownies for her great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mamie Butler; her husbands, Lonnie Loper, Malcolm Mimms, and Charles Reno; her siblings, Bill Butler, Tom Butler, and Nancy Benz.
Polly Reno was survived by her two children, Nancy (Stan) and Steve (Teresa); grandchildren: Charles (Shannon), Camille (Christopher), Michael, Celeste, Keri (Adam), Megan (Clay), and Kaylee; and her great-grandchildren: Tyler, Jaden, Avery, Nolan, Luke, Baylor, Cedar, Millie, Chloe, Brooks, Neil, and Owen.
