CAROLYN WATSON LASTER, daughter of Elizabeth Jones Watson and the late Roger Watson, was born on May 05, 1963, in Warren County, North Carolina. She transitioned from this earthly life and entered her heavenly home on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Signature Health Care, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina. During her early life, Carolyn accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and joined the Greenwood Baptist Church in Warrenton, North Carolina. She later became a member of the Roanoke Chapel Baptist Church in Littleton, North Carolina. Carolyn received her formal education in the Warren County Public School System and graduated with the class of 1983, from Warren County High School in Warrenton, North Carolina. She became employed in Child Nutrition and as a Bus Driver at Vaughan Elementary School in Warren County and retired after more than twenty years of loyal, dedicated service. Carolyn loved spending time with family and friends, playing cards, and traveling. She also enjoyed riding the motorcycle with her husband and the Dusk 'Til Dawn Motorcycle Club members, but what brought her the greatest joy was her precious grandbabies. In addition to her father, Carolyn was preceded in death by her brothers, Henry Lee Watson, Theodore Watson, and David Watson; and her father-in-law, John A. Laster. Those remaining to forever cherish the precious memory of her life and to share the legacy of her love are her devoted and caring husband of thirty-nine years, Allen Maurice Laster; two sons, Aaron M. "Maine" Laster (Kwainea) and Antwan M. "Baby Boy" Laster (Tracy); eight grandchildren: Keon and Deshawn Fogg, Aaron M. Laster, Jr., Saniya Laster, London Laster, Keylan Willliams, Logan Laster, and Chasity Miles; her mother, Elizabeth Jones Watson; two brothers, Daniel D. Watson and Charles L. Watson; two sisters, Min. Hazel P. Richardson, and Barbara Watson-Hargrove; her mother-in-law, Brenda Roberta Laster; five sisters-in-law: Irene Meadows, Angela Watson, Brenda Hannibal, Wilhemina Watson and Tara Wright; two brothers-in-law, George "Tony" Laster and Chucky Laster; and a special aunt, Kapana Jones; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. An initial viewing will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home, 215 US Highway 158, Littleton, NC. The final viewing will take place at Roanoke Chapel Baptist Church, 1991 Roanoke Chapel Road, Littleton, North Carolina, on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Minister Hazel P. Richardson will deliver the eulogy, and burial will follow in the Odell Baptist Church Cemetery, 1763 Embro-Odell Road, Littleton, North Carolina.
