Carroll "Dean" Wagoner, a devoted father, grandfather, and beloved brother, passed away accompanied by family and love. Born on December 28, 1947, to William Henry and Alpha Mae Wagoner, Dean lived a full life defined by hard work, charisma and a quiet strength that touched everyone who knew him.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents, all of his siblings except his brother Robert Leon "Puggy" Wagoner, his daughter Janet Elizabeth Stollings, and his grandson Ryland Dane Wagoner. He is survived by his children Christopher Dean Wagoner, Bradley Joseph Wagoner, Jennifer Nicole Hogan, Brittany Kay Thompson, Lindsey Caroldean Binkley, and Justin Dean Wagoner, along with 13 grandchildren who brought him endless pride and joy.
Dean spent his working years as a skilled millwright, a trade he took great pride in. Among his many accomplishments, one of the most iconic was his work helping to build the EPCOT ball-Spaceship Earth-at Disney World, a symbol of imagination and innovation that perfectly reflects his own spirit.
When he wasn't working, Dean found joy in restoring classic cars, a passion he shared with his family and friends at hill climbs and car shows. He had an eye for beauty, patience for the process, and a heart that came alive with every engine he rebuilt.
In retirement, he found peace and happiness on the water, whether relaxing by the lake or soaking in the sunshine of Florida. These were his golden years-filled with laughter, conversations, and the simple pleasures of a well-lived life.
More than anything in the world, Dean loved his children. His pride in them was unwavering, and his quiet presence was a steady anchor through life's storms. He was a provider, a protector, and a quiet encourager, always showing his love through actions rather than words.
Dean will be remembered for his hardworking hands, his deep love for his family, and the way he brought old engines-and people's spirits-back to life. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the family he built, one memory at a time.
