CATHERINE EVONNE REYNOLDS
COX FUNERAL HOME
BASTROP, LOUISIANACatherine Evonne Reynolds was born in Sterlington, Louisiana on November 11, 1941 to the late Carl Allen "Pa" Green and Amanda Rodgers "Ma" Green. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on May 26, 2025 at Glenwood Regional Medical Center in West Monroe, Louisiana. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Gary Ellis Reynolds; and her sisters, Helen Tarver and Carlene Mayhall.
Evonne was a devoted and active member of the First Church of God of Bastrop and a retired office manager for the family business, Gary's Home Improvements. She served her Lord and her church by sharing her talents as a choir member, music leader, and a devoted and faithful intercessory "prayer warrior". Ms. Evonne also enjoyed family camping trips, especially vacations taken to Colorado and Red River, New Mexico. She was a Proverbs 31 woman; known and admired for her wisdom, strength, and dedication to her Lord and family.
Mrs. Reynolds is survived by her three children, Kevin Reynolds and his wife, Bessie, of Wilmot, Arkansas, Keith Reynolds and his wife, Maggie, of
Bastrop, Louisiana and Kellie Elkins and her husband, Van of Oak Grove, Louisiana. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Tyler Reynolds and his wife, Lisa, Taylor Marcantel, Nancy Sanchez and her husband, Tom, Kwogie Ly, Whitney McKnight, Grant McKnight and his wife, Mallory, Cady McKnight, and Lily Elkins; seven great-grandchildren, Allie Reynolds, Liam Reynolds, Owen Reynolds, Carson Marcantel, Layton Marcantel, Ruby Sanchez, and Avery McKnight; and a host of extended family and friends.
A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025 beginning at 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Funeral services celebrating Evonne's life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, May 31st, at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop with Reverend Jason Strong officiating. Committal services and burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Cox Funeral Homes.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be Tyler Reynolds, Grant McKnight, Carson Marcantel, Layton Marcantel, Carl Hornbeak, and Cliff Hornbeak.
