Cecile Robert, a beloved resident and Boston Post Cane recipient of Tilton, NH, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at the age of 97. Born in Valcourt, Quebec on Tuesday, February 14th, 1928, Cecile lived a life filled with love, dedication, and community service.
Cecile was raised in St. Lambert, Quebec, where she received her education before moving to the United States in 1947. Initially settling in Franklin, she later made Tilton her home for the past 75 years. Her commitment to her community was evident through her active participation as a member of the Tilton Rotary and her dedication to St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Tilton.
Cecile's professional career was marked by her role as a Group Leader at Beede Electric for 22 years. In addition to her work there, she was the entrepreneurial spirit behind Anthony's House of Pizza in Tilton, which she previously owned and operated with pride and dedication.
Cecile was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Armand Robert, her parents Joseph and Amanda (Lemay) Larivee, and her siblings Theresa Vary, Paul Larivee, Dennis Larivee, Philip Larivee, Marianne Maloin, and Aurora Thomas. She also endured the heartache of losing her daughter, Diane Hubbard and two nieces, Rita and Regina.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Denise Zajac, of Meriden, CT, who will cherish her memory and continue to celebrate her mother's legacy of love, kindness, and community spirit and also her companion of over 38 years, Philip Riley.
A visitation will be held at the Paquette-Neun Funeral Home in Northfield, NH on Monday, May 19th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, where friends and family can gather to honor Cecile's remarkable life and bid their farewells.
