Chandler Scott Partin, age 81, of Cleveland passed away Saturday, July 5, 2025, and Esther Louise Partin, age 82, of Cleveland passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025.
Chandler was born on October 20, 1943, in Cleveland, GA to the late Barney Lee Partin and Edith Lee Nix Partin. He retired as a master mechanic from Stamey Chevrolet. Then later also retired from the City of Cleveland Public Works. Chandler was a die-hard fan of old cars and car shows. He was a lifelong Beef Master Cattleman, avid walker, and a collector of many things. Chandler never met a stranger, and his famous words were "Thank you for being here" which he meant wholeheartedly. His love for his family, friends, and church ran deep.
Esther was born on April 8, 1943, in Gainesville, GA to the late Thomas Carder and Ozelle Miller Carder. She retired as a legal secretary for Worker's Comp of Georgia. Out of High School she worked for WGGA Radio in Gainesville, GA writing commercials. She was a devoted caregiver for her daughter Lisa. She loved cats, dogs, and horses. Esther saw the beauty in the smallest things. She was an active member of Zion Church Ladies Mission. Esther wrote many gospel songs several of which she had copyrighted. She enjoyed sharing her singing talent at our local nursing homes to share God's love, and bring a smile to those around her.
Chandler and Esther - Married for 34 years, they truly enjoyed spending time together and constantly showed their love for one another. Both were active members of Zion Church Int., Mt. Yonah Cruisers, ATHS Truck Club, and White County Historical Society. They loved to sing gospel music, share God's word, and tell others how truly blessed they were. Both loved to cut a rug dancing anytime there was good music playing. Two of the greatest storytellers you would ever meet. A couple committed to their faith, family, church family, friends, and community. Although their death is a heartbreaking event Chandler and Esther loved, and adored their Red 1955 Chevrolet Bel-Air. Traveling many miles to shows and winning many trophies in their beloved 1955, together they won the last and best trophy to ever be awarded - Heaven.
In addition to their parents, Chandler and Esther were preceded in death by daughter, Lisa Lewallen; granddaughter, Chelsea Partin; and Esther's brother, Bill Burnette.
Survivors include their children, Scott and Kim Partin, Sherree and Frankie Hampton, Chanda and Paul Burnett, and Steve and Misty Lewallen; grandchildren, Micaela and Travis Jones, Madison Partin, Jacob and Emilee Partin, Josiah and Erin Swing, Savannah Swing, Porchia Davis, James and Sophie Burnett, Hanna and James Bates, MaryBeth and Jarrad Ryals; great-grandchildren, Sadie Swing, Colin Swing, DJ Daniels, Oxlei Burnett, Olynn Burnett, Colton Bates, Carder Bates, Millie Ryals, Charlie Ryals, Gideon Ryals; Chandler's sister, Stamacia Coker; Esther's brother and sister-in-law, Don and Debbie Carder.
