GRUNDY
Chanel Renee (Butts) Grundy, age 41, of London, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Madison Health, following a brief battle with lung cancer.
Chanel touched the hearts of everyone she came in contact with leaving them with inspirations of faith, hope, and an endless amount of love.
She was born in Columbus to Joseph Butts and Penny (Brown) Butts on June 1, 1984. She worked as an independent service provider for ResCare, where she enjoyed her job every day caring for her residents. A woman of strong faith, Chanel attended 100Fold Church in Grove City and enjoyed reading scripture as well as listening to and singing gospel music. She also enjoyed spending time in the kitchen where she would whip up new recipes to try as well as several of her favorites. Above all she cherished family time. Her world centered around her family, and she so eagerly looked forward to the many visits from her siblings every week where they could enjoy each other's company and seemed to never had a shortage of things to laugh about. Many of her favorite memories could be found anytime she was with her children who always remained the true lights of her life.
Left to cherish her memory include her three beloved children: Leah Chanel Grundy, Nadia Grundy, and Aaron Grundy; siblings Shannon Butts, Joseph Ryan Butts, Jasmine Butts, Adam Butts, Brandon (Gabrielle) Butts, Brandy Butts, Cameron (Kelsi) Butts, Summer Butts, Chloe Foster; beloved mother-in-law Sonya Nelson who served as the most wonderful grandmother to her children; numerous nieces and nephews. Chanel was preceded in death by her parents.
Chanel's family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 12:00 Noon – 1:00 PM in the EBERLE-FISHER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 103 North Main Street, London, Ohio 43140. A Celebration of Life Service will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Zach Rostofer officiating.
