Charles “Chuck” Edward Hess, age 59 of Hobgood NC, was born March 6, 1965 in York PA, to the late John Hess Sr. and Marjorie Ann Hunt. Chuck departed this life on February 9, 2025 at UNC Nash General Hospital in Rocky Mount.
In addition to his parents, Chuck is preceded in death by his stepfather, John Oliver Hunt; his son, Adam Davis Bell; two brothers John Hess and Daran Hunt; one sister, Joyce Hess.
Chuck leaves to cherish his memories and mourn his passing, his loving wife Rebecca Susan Hess of the home; one son, Scott Bell of Hobgood; one daughter Roxanne Thomas and husband Brent of Pinetops; his daughter in law, Brandy Fae Ward of York NE; four brothers, Don O. Hunt, Leon Hunt, Sr. and Velton B. Hunt all of St. Pauls, and John O. Hunt Jr. of Tar Heel; five sisters, Mary A. Hess of Fuquay Varina, Lillie Vanover of Garner, Polly Peterson and Sarah Hunt both of Stedman and Marylene Oxendine of Tar Heel; four granddaughters, Imerald, Alysia, Cassy, Jupiter; three grandsons, Caleb, Jacob and Zayne; three great grandchildren, Hayley, Maison and Chalynn along with a host of other relatives and friends.
