Eddie was a member of the Sparta Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. Eddie married Christine Bammann on November 19, 1967.
Eddie is survived by three children – Chad Poston of Tilden, IL, Chet Poston of Tilden, IL, and Cherie (Shad) Smith of Sparta, IL; two brothers – Jay (spouse, Bette) Poston of New Athens, IL and Robert "Bob" (spouse, Pat) Poston of Teutopolis, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife – Christine "Chris" Sue (née, Bammann) Poston who passed away on June 16, 2021; two brothers – Billy Poston and Larry Poston.

Memorial Contributions may be made to Siteman Cancer Center.
Graveside Services will be held at Tilden Cemetery on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Paul Hahn officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Heil-Schuessler & Sinn Funeral Home in Tilden, Illinois is in charge of arrangements.
