It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Charles F. Spruill, age 85, who passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, after a life devoted to faith, family, and unwavering love. Born on September 27, 1939, in Duluth, Georgia, Charles exemplified a life rich in integrity and purpose.

Charles dedicated his life to serving others, both as a preacher and through his work in the custom wood products industry, leaving a lasting impact on those he encountered. He was known for his kind spirit and his genuine concern for the wellbeing of others.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Sarah Anne Spruill, and their daughters, Patricia Underwood and Debra Newby. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews, including his beloved nephew Ray McDonald, who provided remarkable care and support during Charles's later years.

Preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Alice Brumbalow Spruill, and his brother, Howard Spruill, Charles leaves behind a legacy of faith and selflessness, steadfastly devoted to his family and his calling.

A man of deep faith, Charles found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved engaging in conversations with friends, sharing stories, hunting, and creating laughter with his quick wit. Among his favorite indulgences were a cheeseburger topped with tomato and mayonnaise and enjoying episodes of Walker, Texas Ranger and classic wrestling matches.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at 1:00 pm in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory. Burial will follow at Mt. Pisgah Church Cemetery. The family will gather with visitation beginning at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Charles are invited to come together to celebrate his journey, reflect on fond memories, and pay their final respects.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of choice in Charles's memory, reflecting his boundless love for those in need.

Charles F. Spruill will forever be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his wife, his devotion to his family, and the profound love he radiated to all. May his soul rest in peace.
