Charlie Eugene Griffin, 70, of Naylor, MO, passed away Monday, June 23, 2025, at his home in Naylor, Missouri.
Charlie was born on August 30, 1954, to Walter and Alma "Maxine" (Croy) Griffin in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He married Betty (Alford) on September 09, 2000, at Victory Christian Fellowship Church in Fairdealing, Missouri.
Charlie was an avid hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman. He enjoyed trapping and teaching others the trade over the years. Charlie loved reading and especially enjoyed books by Patrick McManus and Louis L'Amour. He had a great sense of humor and was known to be a little ornery from time to time, but his goal was to make others smile and laugh. Charlie loved his family and friends fiercely; everyone knew they could depend on him in times of need. He wasn't afraid of hard work. Charlie was employed by M&A Electric Power Coop for over 20 years before retiring. He was of the Baptist faith.
Charlie is survived by his daughter, Ashley (Michael) Lamkin; stepdaughter, Jami Yates; two sisters, Ruth (Leonard) Wells and Rita (Jerry) Wilkes; four grandchildren, Peyton, Cooper, Damien, and Mason; along numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty Griffin; two brothers, John and Cecil Griffin; four sisters, Mary Francis, Neoma Sandage, Pearl Griffin, and Bertha Dillinger.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, from 12:00-1:00pm at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral & Cremation Services. Funeral service will follow beginning at 1:00pm with Bishop Michael Lamkin officiating. Burial will take place at Brown Chapel Cemetery in Broseley, Missouri.
