Charlotte was born on October 23, 1951, at Sacred Heart Hospital, Medford, Oregon, to Loren and Frances Edwards. She lived her first six years in Ashland, Oregon, until 1958 when her family moved to Auburn, Washington, where her father found employment. She went through the Auburn School system until she graduated from Auburn High School in 1969. From there, she attended Green River Community College in Auburn. During those years, she was and remained for the rest of her life a big sports enthusiast and playing softball for Auburn High School and Green River Community College. Her working career began as an insurance agent in Kent, Washington, and later as an insurance agent for Ashland Insurance, Ashland, Oregon, until her retirement in 2013. Five years ago, Charlotte was involved in a near fatal one car accident near her home in Talent, Oregon. Charlotte was able to live at home with home nursing and housekeeping assistance until her death on May 3. During those years, Charlotte received loving support from family and friends. Her brother and sister-in-law visited her quite often throughout the year and especially in October around her birthday. Her next-door neighbor, Tracey Reichstein, was a tremendous support for Charlotte. The family can’t thank Tracey enough for all she did for Charlotte. Another, person that deserves a big thank you is her cousin, Julie Asher. Julie was there for her when she was in her bad accident and Julie was at the hospital when Charlotte passed away. Another person that deserves mentioning is Marlette Johnson. Marlette and Charlotte became good friends in grade school and remained close until Charlotte’s passing.

Charlotte kept close ties to her family. She loved hearing about her niece, Heidi Fletcher (Scott) and her family, especially Haili as she pursued a career as a professional dancer in New York City and Harrison and Hayden as she followed their basketball exploits through college. She was very fond of hearing about her nephew William (Michelle) and his family. Every Sunday, the phone rang and the conversation started with "hello brother and hello sister" and ended an hour to an hour and a half later with "love you brother and love you sister."

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Frances Edwards. She is survived by her brother, Stewart (Skip) Edwards of Fruitland, Idaho; her sister-in-law, Donna Edwards of Fruitland, Idaho; her niece, Heidi Fletcher of Boise, Idaho; her nephew, William (Bill) Edwards of Aylett, Virginia; her great-niece, Haili Fletcher, New York City; her great-nephews, Harrison and Hayden Fletcher of Boise, Idaho; her great-nieces, Cassidy and Coraldove Edwards of Richmond, Virginia and great-nephew Oakley Joe Edwards of Richmond, Virginia.

Charlotte is interred at Memory Gardens Memorial Park and Mortuary, Medford, Oregon.
