Charlotte Griffith Obituary

Charlotte Elaine Griffith "Nonna", 77, formerly of Roscoe, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025 in Montgomery, TX.
Charlotte was born in Roscoe on April 28th, 1948 to the late James Hugh Ince and Blanche Hagood Ince. She lived all across western and central Texas in her early childhood before her family settled in the Hermleigh/Pyron area. She graduated from Hermleigh High School in 1966, attended Lubbock Christian College, received her Cosmetology license, married Tom Griffith of Roscoe in 1972, and became a homemaker while holding several part-time jobs. Charlotte was a faithful servant of the Lord and member of the Roscoe Church of Christ until she moved to Montgomery in 2017 to live in the care of her daughter Heather. She made it her life's work to be a loving, invested mother and grandmother who instilled good Christian values in her family. For hobbies, Charlotte loved to cook, craft, garden, play card games, and travel, having visited several areas of the US, the Caribbean, and Europe. She was also known to tackle home improvement projects on a whim. She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh and tease her friends and family as a way of showing her affection. She was full of spunk, some might call it stubbornness, and was a tireless worker. One of Charlotte's favorite pastimes was telling stories of her family and childhood which she might have embellished a bit from time to time. She will be greatly missed but we are thankful for the moments we shared with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Blanche Ince of Roscoe TX. Charlotte is survived by her sister Gloria Myers (husband Ray) of Snyder TX, brother Tim Ince (wife Belinda) of Roscoe TX, children Heather Harrison (husband Tim) of Montgomery TX and Jarud Griffith (wife Abbie) of Wichita KS, grandchildren Emery Harrison and Trinity Harrison of Montgomery TX, Luke Griffith, Eli Griffith, Titus Griffith, and Chloe Griffith of Wichita KS as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 5-7pm on Friday, July 18th at McCoy Funeral Home in Sweetwater, TX followed by a Graveside service at 10am on Saturday, July 19th at the Roscoe Cemetery.
