Charlotte Ham Lott, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025, in Marianna, Florida, surrounded by the warmth of her family. Born on June 30, 1950, in Jackson County, Florida, Charlotte's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her dedication to her loved ones, and her passion for the simple joys of life.

Charlotte was born to her parents, Jim and Emma Ham, and spent her early years in the nurturing embrace of her daddy and mama, Earnest and Betty Carpenter, all of whom predeceased her, along with her beloved brothers, David "Popcorn" Ham, and James Carpenter. She was a proud graduate of Sneads High School, class of 1968, and soon after, she embarked on a journey that would lead her to Jacksonville, where she began her career with Southern Bell. It was there she met the father of her children, and the family later moved to Newnan, Georgia. Charlotte's professional life was marked by 32 years of dedicated service to AT&T, retiring in 1999 to return to Grand Ridge to care for her daddy.

On July 3, 1985, Charlotte married the love of her life, Artis Lott, and together they shared countless cherished moments. She is survived by her devoted husband, her son David Cook, her bonus son Tony Lott, her daughter Rena Brown, and her grandchildren, Michael (Ashlynn), Lexi (Marcus), Montana, Scott (Samantha), Tyler, Breanni, Trisha (Shelly Ray), Sabrina, David Jr., Kayla (Charles), and Josh. Her legacy continues through her bonus grandchildren, Kayla, Brandi (Steven), JoAnna, and Noel, as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Charlotte also leaves behind her sister, Ginger Faye Winget (George), her sister-in-law, Carol Ham; her brothers, Robert Carpenter (Inga) and CJ Carpenter (Martha); numerous nieces and nephews, her special fishing buddy, Katrina Cook; as well as her beloved cats: Mittens, Man-Man, and Little Bit, who will miss her gentle touch.

Charlotte's life was a reflection of her Christian faith, and she was a dedicated member of Inwood Baptist Church. Her interests were a mirror to her soul: she loved fishing, tending to her roses, and canning food from her garden. Her home was always open, welcoming friends and strangers alike, whom she considered family. Charlotte's selfless nature was evident in every aspect of her life, and her love for her family, especially her grandchildren, knew no bounds.

Those who knew Charlotte will remember her as loving, kind, and selfless. She was a woman who found beauty in the everyday, who nurtured relationships with a gentle hand, and whose presence was a comfort to all. Charlotte Ham Lott's memory will forever be cherished, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have felt the warmth of her love.

A funeral service for Ms. Charlotte will be held at Inwood Baptist Church on Saturday, August 9, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM Central Time with Rev. Steve Benefield, and Rev. Chad Roland officiating. Interment will follow at Carpenter Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, August 8, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Central Time at McAlpin Funeral Home.
