Obituary Charlotte Tendoy
Charlotte Tendoy was born on April 1, 1932, in Lincoln Creek to Henry Teton and Maurita Farmer. Charlotte was raised by her maternal grandmother Minnie Snipe.
Charlotte passed away on July 3, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
Charlotte enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed visiting with her many family members and friends, swapping life stories, and being informed with the current happenings of the community. She enjoyed watching old westerns and doing crossword puzzles in her free time. She enjoyed beading and was a well-respected beadwork artesian, known for her intricate, refined, and beautiful beadwork. She enjoyed traveling to powwows and peyote meetings; she enjoyed attending powwows to sell her beadwork, watch her grandsons Todd and Pat sing with Blackstone, and watching her grandson Todd dance. She enjoyed beading with her granddaughters, Amanda and Toni. She enjoyed sharing her wisdom, offering guidance, and sharing the stories of her life with her tzotzos.
Charlotte enjoyed attending family events and was often the first person at all family dinners, parties, and events- ready to entertain everyone with her lively personality, sense of humor, and stories.
Charlotte's loved ones will greatly miss her warm laugh, her big hugs, sense of humor, wisdom, advice, and stories.
Charlotte is survived by her grandchildren, Todd (Syrina) Tendoy, Patrick (Jenni) Teton, Amanda Teton-Coby, and Toni (Rosalee) Teton. As well as great-grandchildren Ahleese Teton, Eneesa Teton, Senecca Teton, M. Kezo Coby, Torrin Teton, Cotee Coby, and George Tendoy. In addition to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren Keen LaDue and Khalo LaDue, Charlotte is survived by countless family members and friends who loved and cared for her deeply. Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband Udale Tendoy, daughters Lela E. Teton and Jaylee Wishop, parents Henry Teton and Marietta Farmer, and sisters Truma Teton Davis, Georgina Teton Galloway, and Irenese Teton Perdash.
Charlotte will be at her residence, 713 N. Treaty Hwy, for viewing beginning Monday, July 7, 2025. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, at the Hawker Funeral Home. Traditional burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the Ross Fork Cemetery.
