Cheri L. Armstrong, age 58, of Osseo, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at her home with her family under the care of Hospice of Hillsdale County. She was born January 24, 1967, in Toledo, Ohio, to John and Patricia (Kuhn) Russell. Cheri married Shannon Armstrong on December 15, 1999, and he survives.
Cheri graduated from Camden Frontier High School in 1985, and she later continued her education receiving a degree from Purdue Global University in 2019. She was formerly employed at Key Opportunity in Hillsdale and for Domestic Harmony. Cheri had a big heart and was known for helping and caring for people. She mentored young children, ran a Facebook page for employment opportunities, and always loved being together with her friends and family.
In addition to her husband, Cheri is survived by two grandchildren, Annalee Lawson, and Dominick Lawson; three siblings, Michelle Russell of Prattville, John Russell of Frontier, and Nicole "Nikki" Mosley of Hillsdale; four nephews, Clinton "CJ" Russell, Daniel Mosley, Hayden Mosley, and Gunnar Swetland; and five nieces, Ashlee (David) Rudnick, Amanda Mosley, Layken Morey, Nova Morey, and Maniah Armstrong. The family would like to extend a special thank you to mother and father-in-law, Barb (Manith) Armstrong, of Brooklyn; and sisters-in-law, Sharlene (Jason) Morey of Hillsdale, and Shawn Armstrong of Norvell.
Cheri was preceded in death by her parents, and one daughter, Briana Hall.
Memorial services for Cheri Armstrong will be held Monday, July 14, 2025, at 12:00 PM at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale with Pastor Brandon Dengler officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday from 2:00-5:00 PM and on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
