Cheryl Mae Kugel

Round Rock, TX – Cheryl Mae Kugel, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 11, 2025, at the age of 79. She was born on August 10, 1945, in Milwaukee, WI, to the late Ernest and Marjorie (Orth) Kugel.

Cheryl had a deep passion for travel and adventure, finding joy in exploring the world, whether by car, plane, or cruise ship. Her adventurous spirit led her on countless journeys across the country and to various destinations, creating treasured memories along the way. Known for her generous heart and quick mind, she brought love and laughter to everyone she met.

Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of love and adventure, cherished by her loving children, Michele Vahl of Texas, Marjorie (Patrick) Lang of Arizona, and stepson Jeffery (Julie) Choquette of Minnesota. She was a proud grandmother to Josephine (Matthew) Kissling and Alexandria Lang, and a doting great-grandmother to Lydia Kissling. She also leaves behind her sister, Nancy (Ronald) Smith of Wisconsin, and brother, Joseph (Sue) Kugel of Wisconsin, along with many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands, Robert Vahl and Myron Choquette, as well as her parents.

A Rosary will be said at 11:30 AM, followed by a Mass at 12:00 PM, on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Hutto, TX. Interment will take place at a later date at Tom Cemetery, Tom, OK. Arrangements are under the care of Beck Funeral Home, Pflugerville, TX.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Cheryl's name to your favorite charity.
