Chester Otto Sanders, 93, of Huntsville; passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at his home. He was born Tuesday, February 9, 1932, at Hindsville; to Emmanuel Albert and Edna Viola Day Sanders.
Chester married Tammy Norris on August 15, 2001, in Fayetteville. He devoted many years to Elkhart Products, working as a hand bender, and was a faithful member of Richland Baptist Church in Elkins. Chester was a devoted Christian whose greatest joy was sharing the love of Jesus with everyone he met. He often spoke of what the Lord had done for him, knowing wholeheartedly that He would do the same for others. Chester had a kind and giving spirit. He loved spending time outdoors-whether hunting, trapping, or fishing-but even more so, he treasured time with his family and the opportunity to visit with others. Always ready to help, he lived with a servant's heart. He also enjoyed playing his guitar, singing, and riding horseback through the countryside.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents, Emmanuel and Edna Sanders; seven brothers, Albert (Bill), Joe, Kenneth, Elvin (Pete), Melvin (Skinny), Dee, and Henry Sanders; two sisters, Mary Jane Sanders Guage and Frances Sanders Guage; and one granddaughter, Nichole Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Tammy Sanders, of the home; three sons and one daughter-in-law to be, Larry Sanders (Dian Bye) of Goshen, Lonnie Sanders of Lincoln, and Lloyd Sanders of Greenland; and one daughter Pam Hungate of Elkins. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Lynn Jackson of Alabam; four brother-in-laws and three sister-in-laws, Brian and Karen Norris, Lisa Norris and Brent Collins, Stephanie Cerka and Travis Singelton, and Jason Hill; nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many great and grand nephew's and nieces.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at Richland Baptist Church with Eddie Samuels officiating. Pallbearers will be Larry Sanders, David Tate, Norman Gauge, Brian Norris, Mitchell Norris, and Travis Singelton. Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Collins, Chris Sanders, Michael Kulka, and Marlin Sanders. Interment will immediately follow services at Mount Olive Cemetery, Elkins, AR.
Services are entrusted to Brashears Funeral Home and Crematory of Huntsville.
