Christina Carr Obituary

Christina "Chris" Len Carr, 56, of Warsaw, Missouri, passed away Sunday, June 29, 2025, at Good Samaritan Care Center in Cole Camp. She was born on September 13, 1968, in Wichita, Kansas, a daughter of Leonard Gene and Dana Joan (Sherwood) Carr.
Chris grew up in Wichita, Kansas, and graduated from Heights High School in 1986, where she played volleyball, hung out with her friends and worked at K-Mart. After high school she went to Xenon's School for Hairdressing.
On April 10, 1988, at Indian Southern Baptist Church in Wichita, she was united in marriage to Kelly Bruner. She was blessed with the gift of three daughters: Kacie, Amy, and Jessie.
Chris opened Hair It Is, a hair salon, in Park City, Kansas and later opened a day care named Kids-R-Kids with her daughter Amy. In 2015, she was diagnosed with Huntington's Disease and her health began to fail. She then moved to Warsaw, Missouri, to live with her Aunt Carla and most recently resided at the Good Samaritan Care Center in Cole Camp, Missouri.
She enjoyed going for rides on her motorcycle, line dancing with friends, going to Las Vegas, and loved spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her daughters, Kacie Bruner, Amy Bruner, and Jessie Isbell and Chris, all of Wichita, Kansas; sister, Lennette Rowland and Wyatt of Augusta, Kansas; brothers, Lonnie Carr and Audra and Leonard Carr and Robin, all of Douglas, Kansas; grandchildren, Mattix, Zariyah, Hudson, Brandon Jr, Marcello, Moxlie, Quinn, and Jamisen; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Carr and Dana Lucas, and a sister, Janet Bruner.
A celebration of Chris's life will be held at a later date.
