MARYSVILLE — Christine E. "Chris" Bright, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, at Heritage Senior Living of Marysville. Born on December 25, 1940, in Columbus, Chris dedicated 24 years of her life to working in laundry and housekeeping services at Memorial Hospital, where she retired in 2002.
A pillar of her family and community, Chris is remembered not only for her career but also for her infectious spirit and warmth. She enjoyed playing games such as Bingo, Euchre, Yahtzee, and Farkle, frequently sharing these moments with family and friends. She found joy in watching "Days of Our Lives," often discussing her favorite storylines with those around her.
Chris's religious journey included formerly attending the Unionville Center United Methodist Church, and she found purpose in participating in the weekly worship services held at Heritage Senior Living. Throughout her life, she was also a proud member of C.A.S.C.
She is survived by her son, Todd (Tracey) Bright; daughters, Tammy Bright, Twyla Carter, and Georganna (John) Voiles, and grandchildren, Allison Bright, Erica Bright, Sara (Billy) Thompson, Evan (Lindsey) Nicol, Jake (Paige) Nicol, Kayla (Logan McClincy) Stillings, Dalton (Kylie) Carter, Betty Jean (Daniel Haynes) Carter, and Rebecca Voiles. She is also survived by numerous great and great-great-grandchildren, and her brother Willard (Martha) Daum.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, George W. Bright, Jr., whom she married on July 5, 1959; as well as her parents, Manuel and Ruth (Evans) Daum; her sister, Carolyn Kirkpatrick and brother, Manuel R. Daum.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from noon to 2 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2 p.m., both taking place at Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel 621 W. 5th St. Marysville, Ohio 43040.
