Christine McDonald Obituary

Mother Christine Haralson, McDonald, born to the late Ella Johnson Haralson and George Haralson in Bassfield, MS entered her eternal rest on the morning of July 1st, 2025. CHRISTINE moved to the Hintonville Community of Perry County, Beaumont, MS in 1962, by way of New Orleans, LA.
She became a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church where she served as a Deaconess, President of the choir and Head Usher. She remained dutiful and faithful until her health began to fail. CHRISTINE was a housewife and help mate.
She was one of the best press and curl hair stylists in the community, before there was any such thing as a cosmetology degree. CHRISTINE was known for her culinary skills, specializing in soul food, cake baking and mouth watering seafood gumbo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, a granddaughter and 12 biological siblings.
Christine is the last of all the 13 children. She lost her mother at a very early age and was raised by her older sister, Cora (Jack) Nelson who had 5 other children, 4 of whom are deceased.
She leaves to celebrate her legacy 6 daughters: Vera(Ronie) Lampley New Augusta, Ms, Deborah McDonald, Dixon, CA, Phyliss (Dexter) McMillan, Virginia Beach, VA, Vanessa (Norman) Robinson, Beaumont, MS, Valerie (Charles) Moore, Richton, Ms, Adrienne McDonald, Jacksonville, Fla, 1 son, Herbert (Debra) McDonald Sr., a very special grandson Robert McDonald, 3 Step Children, Louise McDonald, Bassfield, MS, Willie (Norma) Price, Grand Prairie, TX and Roy (Jessie) Price, Columbia, MS and her precious Brother/Nephew Jimmy Nelson, Memphis, TN., 2 bonus daughters Sarah Keyes and Brenda Hinton, 2 special grandchildren Herbert and Tamesha McDonald, 17 grands and 11 great grands and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Baptist Church in the Hintonville community (Beaumont), with Rev. Richard Woullard officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.
The viewing period will be held Friday, July 11, 2025 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Hintonville.
