Christopher Michael Rosebrook, age 43, of Geneva, passed away Monday, February 3, 2025 with his loving family by his side.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Christopher Rosebrook at 1:00 PM August 10, 2025 in Krape Park, Freeport, IL, at the main shelter. Please come share any memories or photos (if any) with his family.
He was born November 5, 1981, in Monroe, Wisconsin, the son of Michael Rosebrook and Ann (McCauley) Coan.
He attended St. Joe’s Grade School and graduated the class of 2000 from Aquin Catholic High School in Freeport, Il. He moved to Chicago and met the love of his life, Shannon. In time, they were married at Holy Name Cathedral in Chicago and started their family.
He is survived by his wife Shannon (Hoyle); children Audrey, James, Hudson, and Graham; parents Michael (Pam) and Ann (Gary); grandparents Gloria McCauley and Doris Schliem; mother-in-law Diane; brothers Kenny (Sarah) and David (Nikki); brother-in-law Sean (Caelis); sisters Kristin (Dan), Traci (Larry), Jackie (Randy) and Stacy (Brian); sister-in-law Heather; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many other dear relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Carol Rosebrook; Leona (Finn) McCauley and Bernard McCauley; and uncles Sgt. Leo McCauley and John Rosebrook; and step-grandparents Ellie Coan and Dale Schliem
Christopher’s love inspired the lives of everyone he encountered and he brought smiles and laughter to everything he did. No matter if it was at home, at work or on the field, his love was boundless and he found joy and happiness in being by your side. Sports, music, and cooking were his passions, with an incredibly deep love for football and coaching.
While our family has lost our most beloved husband and father, many have lost a son, brother, grandson, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend, colleague, and coach in him. He has been a rock to many and always treasured his greatest role as Dad. He had a remarkable ability to connect with anyone and will be missed so very much.
Christopher will be forever in our hearts and we invite you to share pictures and cherished memories as a way to keep his memory alive.
