Visitation with family present from 9:30 - 11 AM with funeral service at 11 AM, Monday, August 18, 2025 at Webb Shinkle Mortuary, 200 S. Tracy, Clearwater, KS 67026. Graveside at 1:30 P.M. at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, 24547 61st Rd., Arkansas City, KS 67005.
Chris was raised in Dexter, Kansas and became a Master Electrician after graduating high school.
Preceded in death by parents, Phillip and Janice (Muma) Sumner; brothers, Scott and Jeff Sumner; beloved dogs, Oscar, Sugar, and Dallas.
Survived by partner of 17 years, Jeri Tjaden; step-children, Jessie (Jacob) Strange and Brian Blake; grandchild, Archer Strange; best friend, Drew and Julie Steiben; dogs, Chisel and Willie.
