William Young Obituary

William Young Mooreville-William Lee Young, 70, departed this life on Monday, Sept. 1, 2025 from NMMC after a extended illness. William was born in Lee County on September 5, 1954 to the late Frank Young and Annie Lee Tolbert Young. He was a lifelong Lee Count resident and professed a faith in Christ at an early age at Jones Chapel MB Church. His life work included jobs at Olympic Products, Tupelo Tint and his last work before retirement was many years with Fiber Craft Foam Mfg. He loved attending area Churches and enjoyed reading his Bible every morning. William loved the Blues, dancing, sitting on his front porch watching the world go by and dressing his best every day.. He was a big fan of all sports especially Pro basketball and football. He had a great sense of humor, loved visiting with family and friends and living life large as he was in stature. He will be missed far and wide! A service celebrating his life will be held at 101AM Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025 in the Sadie Holland Memorial Chapel at Holland Funeral Directors-Tupelo with Minister Shonda Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Porter's Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 4 PM-6PM Friday and from 10 AM-service time on Saturday at Holland Funeral Directors, which is honored to be serving the family. William is survived by his wife, Patricia (Tricia) Young of Tupelo; 6 children, Willie Richey, Tevin Young Jarvis Young, Geneva Richey, Mary Young and Jennifer Young; 10 siblings, John Young (Evee Young), James Young, Mary Young, Polly Richey (Norris), Peggy Norris, Ava Harris, Addie B. McGaha, Sarah Guyton, Rudd Young, Johnny Lee Robinson, Addie B. Young;13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and a host of friends; He was preceded in death by several siblings.
