Graveside service for Clara (Mathis) Brazier, age 93, of Mt. Pleasant, TX will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, July 18, 2025, at Center Ridge Cemetery in Maud, TX.
Clara Mathis Brazier passed away in the early morning hours of July 14th in Mount Pleasant, TX at the age of 93 years old. "Aunt Clara", as she was affectionately known by all her nieces and nephews, was born in Maud, TX on July 11, 1932, to Ruth and Bill Mathis.
She was a member of the Cookville Church of God of Prophecy and a lifelong member of the church organization where she'd often play the piano and carry many of her nieces and nephews to Sunday School. She loved to fish, White Oak Creek in Titus County was her recent fishing spot in the past few years.
She is survived by her husband Jim Brazier, many nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews.
Aunt Clara was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Bill Mathis, her stepfather Carol Dodd, her sister Mary, her brothers Edward, Raymond, Johnny and Billy.
