Mr. Claude Earl Shankles age 79 of Rainsville, AL passed away on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at DeKalb Regional. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 at 1PM at Victory Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Town Creek Cemetery. Rainsville Funeral Home, Inc. directing.www.rainsvillefuneralhome.com The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 14th from 5PM-8PM at Rainsville Funeral Home & Friday, August 15th from 10AM-1PM at Victory Baptist Church. Claude loved woodworking and working around the farm. He enjoyed fishing and gardening. He had a knack for finding deals at the 5 Dollar Bin Store. He loved taking photographs of nature and wildlife. He also enjoyed feeding the animals. He loved vacation and going to church. Mr. Shankles was a deacon at Victory Baptist Church. Survivors Wife of 61 Years: Peggy Shankles of Rainsville Daughter: Lesia Todd and James Gann of Henagar Son: Christopher Shankles and wife Tina Shankles of Section Sister: Reba Shankles Beck and husband Shannon Beck of Albertville 2 Grandchildren: Joshua Lee Shankles Brittany Hicks and husband William Blake Hicks A Host of Nieces, Nephews & extended Nieces & Nephews Preceded in Death Parents: William Hollis & Maude Lena Shankles Siblings: Jewell Shankles Guffey, Junior Shankles, Rev. Chester Shankles, Margaret Willodean Shankles Brown, Calvin Shankles & Clyde Shankles
