Claude W. "Sonny" Brown, age 82, passed away at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital on August 18, 2025. He was born June 2, 1943 to Claude and Myrtle (Butts) Brown in Council Bluffs, IA. Claude retired from Omaha Standard as a welder.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Michael Brown and James Brown; sisters, Luella, Claudette, Wanda, and Judy; brothers, Kenneth and Floyd.
Claude is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ruth Brown; daughter, Teresa Schnepp; son and daughter-in-law, Claude & Melissa "Missy" Brown Jr.; sister, Rosie; grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins; a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Thursday, August 21, 2025. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM at Hoy Kilnoski Funeral Home on Friday, August 22, 2025. Interment is in the Lewis Township Cemetery. The family will direct memorials.
