Claudia Ann Growney, a beacon of love and adventure, passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, in Lathrup Village, Michigan. Born on August 10, 1943, in Huntington, Indiana, she was the cherished daughter of the late Claude and Helen Hosier. Claudia's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with the threads of courage, adventure, and an enduring love for her family.

Claudia's journey began in the heart of Indiana, where she grew up surrounded by the warmth of her parents' love. Her spirited nature led her to a fulfilling career as an office administrator for an insurance agency. Her colleagues knew her as the heart of the office, a woman whose efficiency was matched only by her kindness.

Family was the cornerstone of Claudia's world. She is survived by her devoted son, Gregory L. Hofmann and his wife Carri, and her loving daughter, Lora A. Hofmann. Claudia's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Justin and Ada Hofmann, Joshua and Lauren Hofmann, and Jeremy and Marie Hofmann, all of whom she adored. Her great-grandchildren, Adriana, Juliana, Liliana, Jacob, and Noah, brought her immeasurable joy and were the recipients of her boundless love and the stories of her many adventures.

Claudia's zest for life was evident in her many interests. She found solace in the serenity of her garden, the thrill of a new shopping find, and the excitement of exploring the world. Her travels took her to distant lands, but she always returned with the greatest enthusiasm to her kitchen, where she cooked sumptuous meals for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. These family gatherings were a testament to her loving spirit and her flair for creating a warm, inviting atmosphere that will be deeply missed.

As we bid farewell to Claudia Ann Growney, we celebrate a life lived with passion and purpose. Her spirit, characterized by an unwavering love and a daring soul, will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Claudia's story does not end here; it is carried forward in the laughter of her great-grandchildren, the resilience of her children, and the fond memories shared by all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. May she rest in peace, knowing that her legacy is one of love, adventure, and the courage to embrace life's journey with an open heart.

Memorial visitation will take place on Sunday, August 10, 2025 from 12 Noon until 3:00 PM at Sawyer Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 12 Mile Rd. Berkley, MI 48072
