Cleola Beth Brandt, 94, of Ravenwood, MO passed away on May 30, 2025 surrounded by her friends and family.
Cleola was born on June 18, 1930 in Ravenwood, MO to Loyd E. and M. Emma (Freeman) Powell. She attended Monroe Country School for her early education before graduating from Ravenwood High School. She served as Vice President of Citizen Bank & Trust for many years until her retirement in 1992. Cleola was also a member of the Community of Christ Church. She loved sitting on her front porch surrounded by her flowers and birds. She also enjoyed collecting owls and caring for animals on her farm.
She married George E. "Bud" Brandt on October 1, 1949 in Maryville, MO and welcomed their son, Gregory Eldon Brandt on July 9, 1954.
Cleola was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd and Emma, husband, Bud, son, Greg, brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and Betty Powell, sister-in-law, Betty Powell, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Edwin "Miller" and M. Lucille Nelson, brother-in-law, Ted Vulgamott, niece Palmer Eckert and nephews, Jon Nelson and Mark Powell.
Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Anita Brandt; two granddaughters, Megan (Jesse) Brandt Polsley and Shelby Brandt; great-grandson, Theo Brandt Polsley; brother, Loyd Powell; sister, Shirley Vulgamott along with numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Friday, June 13th at Price Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be at 10:00am on Saturday, June 14th at the Community of Christ Church in Maryville, MO. Burial will be at Sweet Home Cemetery, Ravenwood, MO. The family suggests any memorials in memory of Cleola can be made to Camp Quality.
