Clyde Eugene Ballard, a beloved member of his community and a dedicated family man, passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 79. Born on January 17, 1946, Clyde lived a life rich with love and commitment to those around him.
Clyde's love for his family was evident in every aspect of his life. A loving family man, Clyde adopted Christie and gave his all to ensure her every need was met. He was devoted to his children and embraced his role as a father with pride. However, Clyde was not just a family man; he was deeply rooted in his community. For an impressive 20 years, he served as a volunteer fireman at the Westville Fire Department, and also served on the gas and utility board for several years. Clyde’s hard work and dedication were evident in everything he did and left a positive impact on those around him.
Clyde’s faith played an important role in his life, as he loved worshipping at the Westville and Lincoln Assembly of God. His kind and welcoming spirit meant that he never met a stranger—everyone was a friend waiting to be made, and his genuine nature endeared him to many.
Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Ballard and Lucinda Stanley, as well as his cherished granny, Sinthia Christie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; daughter, Dana Nickens, and husband Tim; son, Bobby Ballard, and wife Jean; and daughter, Christie Ballard. Clyde also leaves behind a host of friends and family who will cherish his memory and the impact he had on their lives.
