January 19, 1991 – July 6, 2025
Cody Lee Howard, 34, of Leslie, Georgia, unexpectedly passed away on July 6, 2025, surrounded by his family's love. Cody was born in Lancaster, California, and for the last 9 years he lived in Leslie, Georgia.
Cody loved video games and anime and was known for his joyful spirit, quick wit, and love for good food. His kind heart and gentle soul touched many, reminding all of us to find happiness in simple moments and to embrace what we love wholeheartedly. Cody brought light, laughter, and warmth to everyone who knew him.
He was a member of New Vision Worship Center in Montezuma, Georgia, where he found community and faith.
Cody is survived by his father, John Howard and Nancy Howard, better known as "Momma Nancy"; his mother, Victoria Howard; his sister, Katrina Howard; his grandparents; Walter and Joyce Howard, and Marie Howard; his step-grandfather Homer Cain; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his step-grandmother, Brenda Cain.
A celebration of Cody's life will be held Saturday, July 12th at 11:00 AM at Riverview Baptist Church in Vienna, Georgia, with Pastor Jeremy Barrett officiating and Pastor Travis Moody offering prayer. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be in the Riverview Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the GoFundMe established in Cody's honor to assist with final expenses and to continue supporting the family during this time.
Cody's legacy of kindness and the joy he brought to others will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
