Martha Edna Jackson, age 77, passed away peacefully in Stuart, Florida, on September 12, 2025.
She was born on March 20, 1948, in Pensacola, Florida. Martha is survived by her sons, Ted Jackson and Kyle Jackson, six handsome grandsons and two beautiful great-grandchildren who will forever hold her in their hearts.
After marrying Edward Jackson, Sr, in 1969, Martha and Ed made their home in many places spanning Florida, Crete (Greece), and New Mexico. From 1988 until 2020, Martha's home was in Sumter, South Carolina where she built many lasting friendships that she cherished, which were a source of great joy and strength for her.
Martha spent her entire life as a devoted Christian, attending church faithfully, singing in the choir, and living as a steadfast example of love,
service, and devotion to God and her family. She was a member of Sumter First Church of the Nazarene in South Carolina for 32 years.
Martha spent most of her career as a home health nurse, caring for others with compassion, patience, and kindness. Her visits to people's homes and the care she gave exemplified her love for Christ and her calling to serve those in need.
Martha will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her dedication to her family, and her gentle, caring spirit.
To honor her, visitation with her family and friends will be held at Forest Hills Funeral Home, 2001 SW Murphy Road, Palm City, FL 34990 on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11 a.m., with a memorial service at 12 p.m., and a reception at 1 p.m.
The family welcomes flowers or donations to Focus on the Family (focusonthefamily.com).
