Carol A. Tulay former Lausanne Township Tax Collector, 77 years of of Buck Mountain Weatherly Pennsylvania passed away on Wednesday July 16, 2025 at St. Luke's Carbon Campus Lehighton Pennsylvania.

Born in Hazleton, the daughter of the late Charles and Anna (Urishen) Wassel. Carol was also predeceased by; sisters, Helen Weston, Mary Ann Appel; nephew, Michael Appel; uncle, George Wassel.

Surviving are; her beloved husband of 45 years, Joseph J. Tulay; sister, Theresa Banyas and her husband Joe; sister-in-law, Sharon Methot and her husband Edgar. Many nieces and nephews also survive Carol.

A 1965 Weatherly High School graduate, Carol earned her associates degree from the McCann School of Business. While serving as Tax Collector Carol worked at Bonomo's Carpet in Hazleton for many years. A member of St. Peter & Paul Byzantine Church of Beaver Meadows, Carol was an animal lover adopting Dobermans and looked forward to attending dog shows. Carol and Joe enjoyed traveling, hosting holiday celebrations for family and friends.
