Colisa Michelle Ray was born on November 16, 1961 in Thomasville, North Carolina to the late Minnie Ruth Ray and late Harvey Lee Ray, Sr. In the early morning of July 31, 2025 God called her blessed soul to come home to rest. As a child Colisa moved with her parents to Buffalo, NY where she attended Public School #1 until the age of eleven, she moved back to Thomasville, NC where she attended Thomasville City School until her graduation in 1979.

Colisa was first and foremost, a wonderful mother. She loved her sons Greg and Antione furiously. They were the light of her life. She carried that responsibility like it was second nature. She made sure all their needs and most of their wants were met. Furthermore, when she became a grandmother, she poured that some love into her grandchildren.

Colisa was also a daughter, sister, and aunt who always brightened up the family trips to the beach, the holidays, and other family gatherings with her infectious and positive personality. Colisa was a big sports fan, and she loved to watch her nieces and nephews play. She was a very important part of the village known as the Ray Family as is evidenced by how she she has left fond memories of love, laughter, loy to be well dressed and love to shop no matter who it was for. " Sista Money" as she was known my friends enjoyed traveling and hanging with her girlfriends. She rarely missed North Carolina A&T State University's homecoming where she and her good friends would take residence in Greensboro, then tailgate, and celebrate for an entire weekend every year.

Colisa worked at Exopack for over 20 years where she grew to lead her operations team. She was loved by many of her coworkers and was known to organized events for her coworkers to help celebrate their milestones.

Colisa was preceded in death in death by her parents Minnie Ray and Harvey Ray, Sr. and her brother Gregory Ray, Sr.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her children, Antione Simon (Sky) and Gregory Ray, Jr. Grandchildren Amiyah, Royal, Goddess, Langston and Karter. Brothers, Stanford Ray, Sr. (Deborah), Harvey Ray, Jr. (Carmen), Carl Wrenwick (Refain), Douglas Evans, Sr. and sister, Theresa Harriott (Ricky), her uncle Willie Tyson, John Burton and Richard Burton; special family friends, Harlie James Jr., Godchildren, Monique Poole, Farren Franklin and Nijhi Allen-Skeen, dear friends, Carmen Snuggs Cotton, Patricia McRae Richardson, Deborah Ray, Donna Allen, Jeannine Alston, and Devon Franklin: as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
