Connie Kay Hein, 81, of La Plata, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, peacefully at her home.
Born on September 18, 1943 in Waukon, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late George W. Beisker Jr. and Hazel E. Beisker. Connie was a housewife who loved creating dry flower arrangements, attending craft fairs, hunting for antique treasures, sewing quilts, baking, gardening, and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, David Willard Hein Sr.; daughter Melissa Bowie; siblings Alice May, George Beisker III, and Mark Beisker.
Connie is survived by her children David Hein, Tina Hein, Bruce Hein, and Timmy Hein (Gissel); grandchildren Sharon, Jessica, Christopher, Justin, David III, Carly, Tiffany, Anthony, Jarrett, and Haylee; great grandchildren Jayden, Gianna, Lillianna, Raelynn, and Kodilyn; siblings Jennifer Mundt, Ann Schnuelle (Junior), Debbie Terrell (Dennis), Steve Beisker, and Star Buszkiewic (Jim), and son-in-law Michael Bowie.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2025 from 4PM to 7PM with Service at 6PM at Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
A one hour visitation will be held prior to the funeral service on August 8, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the First Congregational Church McGregor, Iowa. Lunch will be provided after the service.
Interment to follow at Strawberry Point Cemetery, 439 E Mission Street, Strawberry Point, Iowa 52076.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Connie's name to Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 28 West 44th Street, Suite 609, New York, NY 10036 or The Heart Failure Patient Foundation, 1120 Route 73, Suite 200, Mount Laurel, NJ 08054.
