Funeral services for Connie Lynn Thomas, age 72 of Lineville, will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville with Bro. T. J. Griffin officiating. Burial will follow in the Lineville City Cemetery.

Ms. Thomas passed away on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at the Clay County Hospital. She was born in Finley, Ohio, but grew up in Texas for the first 22 years of her life. After graduating high school, she attended Brazo Sport Junior College and completed her associated degree there. Mrs. Thomas moved to Clay County in 1986. After briefly working as a Dry Wall installer, but worked at Perryland Foods in Lineville for 31 years as an assistant manager and Head Cashier, Register 1. Mrs. Thomas enjoyed watching TV and movies, going thrift store shopping, attending local trade days and tending to her dogs and cats.

Ms. Thomas is survived by her companion and caregiver, Alford Campbell; her two stepsisters: Michelle Studdard and Sharon Studdard; her two stepbrothers: Jim Studdard and Charles Studdard; and an extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Everett Henry Leeper, Sr. and Shirley Jean Teats Studdard and her stepdad, James H. "Jim" Studdard.

Her pallbearers will be Noah Floyd, Brandon Floyd, Kevin Reed, Allan Garich, Lavasco Bawson, Joshua Campbell, and Alford Campbell.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 from 9:30 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M. at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
