In loving memory of Connie Sue Vogt
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Connie Sue Vogt, age 80, on November 11, 2024. Connie passed at Anaheim Regional Hospital leaving behind a legacy of joy, kindness, and unforgettable laughter. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend, and community member whose vibrant spirit touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Connie was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, embracing life with color, confidence, and friendship. As a "Red Hatter", she brought her enthusiasm and warmth to every gathering, and her iconic red hat and purple attire reflected her zest for life. She was known to brighten any room, and her presence at society events brought smiles and laughter to all. Connie deeply valued the friendships she made throughout the groups and often spoke fondly of her fellow "Red Hat" sisters.
Born August 1, 1944, Connie spent her early years in a small town of Millstadt, Illinois. She moved to California in 1969 and made it her forever home. Connie worked as an accountant for 28 years at the Speech and Language Development Center in Buena Park, California from where she retired. After her retirement she became active in several groups such as; Member of the Anaheim Senior Center, Noblettes (fund raising for Shriners Children Hospital), Women of the Moose Lodge, and playing Bunco. She loved to travel and toured many states and countries on multiple occasions.
She is survived by her niece, Kendra (Wayne) Haas, great niece, Alyssa (Stephen Auer) Terry, great nephew, Dylan (Peyton) Terry, Ethan (Courtney) Haas, Caleb Haas, Jacob Haas, cousins, wonderful neighbors, and many cherished friends. Connie's legacy of joy, resilience, and compassion lives through her family and friends, and she will be remembered as a woman who lived life to the fullest.
Connie was reunited in Heaven with her father and mother, Raymond and Bernice (Bruehl) Vogt, her sister, Lois (McCollister) Kirkley, aunts, uncles and her special friend Daniel (Lee) Bingham.
Connie will be deeply missed but fondly remembered, forever our "Lady in Red"
