Cora Pardue Crain's journey through life began November 20, 1937. She completed that journey on Saturday morning February 1, 2025 - at the age of 87.
Cora was a kind and gentle lady - but also proved to be a strong woman who rose above adversity and persevered with grace. She enjoyed gardening (flowers and vegetables), sewing, quilting, and ceramics. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother that loved investing in the lives of her grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Benoit Crain; her parents, Jurd and Alma Pardue; her brothers, J.C., Quinton, Lloyd, Dempsey, Leo, and Kenyon Pardue; her sisters, Parline Pardue, Katheline Pardue Harrell, Ernesteen Pardue Westbrook, Iris Pardue Gray, and Carrie Pardue Springfield.
She is survived by her children, David Alan Crain and Darla Kay Crain; her sister, Joye Pardue Baker; her grandchildren, Bethany Crain Dunlop and Hailey Crain Shelton; and 3 great-grandchildren - Jonah Perkins, Brynlee Shelton, Lincoln Shelton; and a host of nephews and nieces.
Cora loved her family. She passed along to those under her influence a deep appreciation of the simple things in life. For that, her children, grandchildren and even great-grandchildren will always be richly blessed.
