Craig Carr age, 61 of Ocheyedan, IA died on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at the Osceola Regional Health Center in Sibley, IA.

Family and friends will gather at the Ocheyedan Township Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. for a 1:00 p.m. Graveside Service on Friday, April 11, 2025, in Ocheyedan, IA. Reverend Richard Milbrandt will be officiating. There will be Military honors by the Wood-Miller American Legion Post No. 326 of Ocheyedan, IA.

The family will be handling the Graveside service with a light lunch at the St. Peter Church in Ocheyedan with family afterwards.

Craig Allen Carr was born on June 19, 1963, in Sioux City, IA, the son of John J. and Nyla J. (Erickson) Carr. Craig grew up the son of a Marine and graduated from Kofa High School in Yuma, AZ.

Craig then enlisted in the U.S. Army for five years and then entered the Army National Guard and served for fifteen years. He attained the rank of Sgt.

On July 29, 2000, he was united in marriage to Becky K. Witt in Sioux City, IA. The couple lived in Sioux City for a time then moved to Ocheyedan, IA, where Craig had various jobs and finally retired from CFE in Ocheyedan due to health problems.

Craig will be remembered for his quick wit, jokes, great laugh, love for camping and fishing, and being an avid Minnesota Vikings fan. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Craig had a strong passion to be an organ donor due to receiving an organ lung himself. Craig was able help many individuals through his donation with the Iowa Donor Network.

Craig is survived by his wife of 25 years, Becky Carr of Ocheyedan, IA; four siblings, Jimmy (Angela) Carr of Yuma, AZ, Kelly (Jess) Cook of Glenwood, IA, Brad (Lynda) Carr of Sioux City, IA, and Destry (Justin) Siegfried of Yuma, AZ; mother-in-law, Karen Witt; brother-in-law, Brian (Faith) Witt all of Ocheyedan, IA; sister-in-law, Brenda Friemuth of Sioux Falls, SD; sister-in-law, Beth (Brad) Fear of Everly, IA; brother-in-law, Bradley Witt of Le Mars, IA; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and his beloved best friend, Pugsy Malone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Nyla Carr; brother, Jeff Carr; a niece; and father-in-law, Ronald Witt.
