Crawford Vincent Obituary

Crawford Eugene "Gene" Vincent, a resident of Oscar, La, passed away on August 14, 2025 at the age of 84. Gene grew up in Lancaster, S.C. where he enlisted in the United States Army at a very young age. Gene served his country for 21 years, serving three tours in Vietnam, before he retired from the U.S. Army. After retiring from the Army, Gene became a member of the Masons and Shriners for many years, worked services with Niland's Funeral Home and took care of his many beloved dogs.

Gene is survived by his wife of 42 years, Carol Vincent; daughter, Kathy Vincent Martin (Neal); son, Steve Vincent (Angie); step-daughter, Lisa Roussel; grandchildren, Steven, Cole and Devin; granddaughters, Casey Turlington (Joseph) and Leah May (Paco); great grandsons, Eli Turlington, Easten, Bouer, Oakley and Rawlings Vincent; and sister, Brenda Usher (Johnny).

Preceded in death by mother, Mildred Stacks; and brother, Mickey Stacks.

A visitation will be held at Niland's Funeral Home in New Roads, La on Thursday, August 21, 2025 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm. A Masonic Service will begin at 7:00 pm. followed by an Eastern Star Service at 7:30 pm. Visitation will resume on Friday, August 22, 2025 at First Baptist Church of New Roads, La from 9:00 am until the service at 12:00 noon.

The burial will follow in Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary, La at 2:00 pm.
