Cristine Hussung Obituary

She was born on May 16, 1944, in Petersburg, Kentucky, the daughter of the late Hurley Quicksall and Bethel (Moore) Strickling.
Cristine dedicated over 40 years of her life working at Frisch's, where she deeply valued her job and the friendships she made. She was heartbroken when she could no longer work, but found joy in spending time with her sister and daughter, especially during their shopping trips and visits to the Smoky Mountains. After undergoing surgery, Cristine moved in with her daughter and grandchildren, where she cherished every moment watching her great-grandchildren grow. They were her pride and joy.
Cristine was a faithful member of Life Church, formerly known as Aurora Alliance Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Johanna Fordyce (Jeff Gulley); grandson, Michael (Danielle) Fordyce; great-grandchildren, William Scott, Riley Scott, and Skylar Fordyce; brother, Eugene Quicksall; sister, Carrie Quicksall; sisters-in-law, Connie Hussung and Judy (Steve) March; along with 8 nieces, 6 nephews, and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Cristine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Laurel "Larry" Hussung; her sons, David "Huss" Hussung and Larry Gene Hussung; her parents, Hurley Quicksall and Bethel (Robert) Strickling; brothers, Clayton Quicksall and Bobby Dale Strickling; brother-in-law, David F. Hussung; sister-in-law, Marita Henson; one niece, one nephew, and one great-niece.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM at Life Church, 201 W. Conwell St., Aurora, Indiana.
Funeral services will follow at 1:00 PM, officiated by Pastor Kenneth Hopper.
Interment will take place at Rising Sun New Cemetery, Rising Sun, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to Life Church or the American Cancer Society.
