Cristoval Perez Obituary

With hearts full of love and gratitude, we bid farewell to Cristoval G. Pérez, Jr., aged 77, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, who was called to his eternal rest on July 4, 2025. Cristoval, affectionately known as Chris, was born on June 3, 1948, in Lockhart, Texas, to Cristoval "Sonny" Pérez and Anastacia Gonzales Bosque. His life was marked by dedication, kindness, and a joyful spirit that brightened the lives of all who knew him. Chris served with honor in the Army and the U.S. National Guard, and dedicated his career to the trade of diesel mechanic, where he showcased his skill and commitment. Passionate about life, Chris enjoyed watching NASCAR, being an avid fan of his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt. He also found great joy in bike riding, embracing the freedom and fresh air with every pedal. Chris was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Lalie Torrez and Geneva Bosque. He leaves behind a legacy of love in his wife, Celestina "Chela" Pérez; his children, Cristoval Pérez II, Dolores Natal (Patricio), James Pérez (Belinda), Rachel Pérez, and Phillip Gómez (Verónica); as well as eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Honored to serve as pallbearers are Caesar Martinez, Isaac Martinez, James Pérez Jr., Matthew Pérez, Anthony Sauceda, and Phillip Gómez. The family invites friends and loved ones to join them in celebrating his life. Visitation will begin on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. at DeLeon Funeral Home, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11, 2025, at St. Mary's of the Visitation Catholic Church, followed by burial at St. Mary's Cemetery.
