Cruz 94, born in Ixtapalapa, Mexico. A resident of the Kern County area for many years but making Mojave, California her home. Widowed early in life she took on additional odd jobs to support her 5 of 6 children under the ages of 18. A few years after being widowed, a good friend helped her find a job in hospitality at the Holiday Inn, in California City. That made it possible for her eldest son to help her, by signing papers to buy her home of 52 years. She spent her golden years in that very home, where she peacefully passed. In her passing she was surrounded by the 5 children that she raised after her husband had passed - a revolving door of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a friend, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. A devout Catholic, she was a parishioner of St. Francis Church in Mojave. Survived by her children: Fermin Garcia, Carmen Oceguera, Teresa Garcia, Victor Garcia and Linda Baldwin; and her grandchildren: Kelly Leib, Joshua Garcia, Michelle Garcia, Angelica Oceguera, Jessica Santana, Jeanette Oceguera, Erika Coloma, Veronica Garcia, Isamar Garcia, Brian Baldwin, Anaïs Camarena, Curtis Baldwin. She also had 21 Great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband Victor Garcia Sr., son Joe Garcia, and granddaughter Courtney Mark.
