Curt Joseph Hunt, affectionately known as "Fence," was born on June 10, 1969, in St. Louis, Missouri, and he departed this world peacefully in his sleep on July 5, 2025, in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was a devoted family man and friend, whose laughter and warmth touched the lives of many.

For 34 years, Curt dedicated himself to his career as a Pipecover, serving with pride in the Local 1 Insulators Union until his retirement in October 2024. His unwavering work ethic reflected the big heart he shared with those around him. Curt cherished every moment with his family, especially his beloved grandchildren, whom he loved unconditionally. His dedication to family was evident in the love he showered on his children and grandchildren – Hayley, Justin, Erin, Logan, Josiah, and Harper.

Curt had a deep faith in Jesus Christ, which offered him solace and strength throughout his life. He was a man who found joy in the simplest moments, often seen with a can of Pepsi in hand, ready to forge memories at concerts and sports games. His quick wit and sense of humor brought light and laughter to gatherings, making him the life of the party and a cherished companion.

His passion for competition was rivaled only by his love of the great outdoors. Whether engaging in golf, pool, horseshoes, or any backyard game, Curt lived for moments filled with friendly rivalry. Fishing was not merely a pastime for him; it was an opportunity to bond, reflect, and relish nature's beauty whenever he could.

Curt leaves behind his loving spouse, Cynthia Marcellan-Hunt, as well as his children—Hayley, Justin, and Erin—who will miss his guidance and affection. His grandchildren, Logan, Josiah, and Harper, will hold dear the beautiful memories created together. He is also survived by a close-knit circle of family, including his brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Chrissy Hunt; Craig and Donna Hunt; Tim Seevers (stepfather) and Tim Seevers Jr. (stepbrother); Jenifer and Tim Boul (sister and brother-in-law); and Mike and Bridget Dykes (brother and sister-in-law). Additionally, he leaves behind his Uncle Denny and Aunt Kathy, and Aunt Karen Marson. The special bond he had with his cousin Bobby was unmeasurable.

Curt is reunited in eternal rest with those he loved who have passed before him, including his father, Jim Hunt; his stepmother, Deborah Hunt; his mother, Lynda Seevers; and his grandparents Emmett Hunt, Rosemary Hunt, Charles Brummel, and Dorothy Brummel.

Curt's legacy is a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and deep connections. He will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. As friends and family gather to honor his memory, we rejoice in the beautiful times we shared and the impact he made in our lives.

A visitation will be held on July 10, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, Missouri, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, immediately followed by a memorial service at 5:00 PM and a gathering from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. In these moments, may we find comfort in our shared love for Curt, celebrating the life of a man who will be forever in our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that you consider a donation to St. Jude’s's Children's Research Hospital or Autism Speaks in Curt's honor.
