Dagmar "Dagi" Modrzejewski, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on July 31, 2025, at the age of 74.
Born on June 3, 1951, in Zingst, Germany, to the late Herman and Erika Schreiber, Dagi developed an early and lifelong love for the ocean. She was an avid swimmer and a passionate teacher, sharing her skills with both children and adults. Her deep appreciation for nature and the outdoors remained a constant in her life.
Dagi was known for her strength, quick wit, and a laugh that many described as contagious. Her warm presence brought joy to those around her, and she faced life's challenges with grace and resilience. Among all her accomplishments, her greatest joy was her grandson, Aidan, whom she loved immensely.
After completing her education, Dagi worked as a mechanical draftsman for a local engineering firm, where her precision and attention to detail were greatly valued.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Robert Stanislaus; her daughter, Jasmin (Christopher) Bennett; her beloved grandson, Aidan Bennett; and her sister, Heidi Mooney.
At this time, no services are scheduled.
Arrangements are in the care of McDonald and Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Dr. Cumming, GA 30040, 770-886-9899, mcdonaldandson.com.
