Born in the small town of El Guayabito de Pedroza, municipio de Penjamo, estado de Guanajuato, Mexico. Dagoberto carried with him the quiet strength and deep-rooted warmth of his homeland throughout his life. A dedicated farmworker, Dagoberto spent his life working the land, finding joy in the outdoors, and nurturing the beauty of simple things-especially his beloved roosters. Life on the farm wasn't just his livelihood; it was a part of his soul. He was a devoted husband to Frances Tafoya and a proud father to Monica, Olivia (Rafael Hernandez), and Andrea. He adored his grandchildren, Elexia and Vincent Hernandez, and treasured every moment spent with them. Dagoberto is also survived by his parents, Pablo Tafoya and Maria Diaz, and his siblings: Raquel Rocha, Carmen Oliva (Alvaro Hernandez), Martha Ibarria (Jose), Armando (Estela), Bertha (Francisco Mejorado), and Juan Pablo (Laura). He was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law, Manuel Rocha and Luis Oliva. His presence was steady and kind-he had a heart that welcomed others and a smile that made you feel at home.
