Mr. Dale Amos Evans, 81 of Jayess, MS passed away Thursday, May 1, 2025 at his residence. He was born Monday, November 15, 1943 in Tylertown, MS to the late George Amos Evans and Dudley Ella Bozeman Evans Andrews. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife of 49 ½ years Jimmie Ratliff Evans; and brother-in-law, Charles M Kinney.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2025 from 9:15 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM at Kokomo Baptist Church, 68 Kokomo Road, Kokomo, MS. Burial will follow in Magee`s Creek Cemetery in Jayess, MS. Reverend Glen Nace and Brother Kevin Shows will officiate. Hartman Hughes Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Mr. Dale was a natural jokester always sharing a joke with everyone he met. He was employed for many years with Southern Natural Gas until his retirement. Mr. Dale was also a devoted member of Kokomo Baptist Church.

Survivors include his sons, Jim Evans (Tracie) and Mike Evans (Trudi); daughter, Karen Tynes (Mark); grandchildren, Garrett Evans, Cody Evans (Cailyn), Luke Evans (Jessica), Michael Evans, Landon Tynes, and Levi Tynes; great grandchildren, Evangeline Evans, Finley Evans, Adeline Evans, Brooks Evans, Hunter Gallo, and Annabelle Evans; sisters, Ann Sartin (Joe) and Lynn Tynes; sister-in-law, Linda Kinney; along with a host of loving family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mark Tynes, Mike Evans, Landon Tynes, Levi Tynes, Rick Jones, Lynn Harvey, and Cody Evans.

Honorary pallbearers will be Garrett Evans, Luke Evans, Michael Evans, Joe Sartin, Jerry Prescott, Perry Martin, Don Martin, and Tommy Myers.
